Origin Presence™

Confidence & communication coaching

You know you're good. So why doesn't it always feel like it when it matters?

You’ve been in your industry long enough to know you’re good - really good. You know your field. You have the experience. You have something to say.

Maybe you're already an executive or senior leader. Maybe you've just been promoted. Maybe you're going for that promotion, pitching for the contract, speaking on a podcast, leading the team, speaking at the conference or finally stepping into a much more visible version of your career.

And yet something happens in those high-stakes moments. You shrink. You over-explain. You soften your voice when you should be owning what you're saying. You know the answer, but somebody else says it more confidently. You walk out of the room thinking, Why didn't they hear me? I said the right things. Or perhaps there's a quieter voice underneath it all: Who do you think you are? Who do you think you are to lead this? To stand on that stage? To ask for that position? To take up that much space?

You can be brilliant, knowledgeable and highly capable - and still have moments when your ability to communicate doesn't match the person you know yourself to be.

That's where we work.

This isn't another confidence or presentation course

Maybe you've already tried a course. You've read the books. Watched the TED Talks. Learned about body language. Done presentation-skills training. Practised breathing. Been told to stand differently, speak more slowly, make eye contact and fake it until you make it. This is all incredibly useful. In fact, you can get excellent communication advice from trainers, YouTube, books, courses and now AI - often completely free.

But information may not be your problem. You probably already know quite a lot about what you're supposed to do.

The question is: Why aren't you able to use this knowledge when it matters?

That's where Origin Presence starts somewhere different.

Not with your PowerPoint. Not with your posture. Not with a list of presentation techniques. With you.

The Person … Not the Performance

Our work is based on a simple idea: If something underneath is getting in the way, adding more communication techniques on top may not solve the problem.

So we work with you- the person and who are you when you're not trying to perform somebody else's version of confidence? Because we are not interested in turning you into a generic "confident speaker" (especially one where you can spot the guru teacher).

We want to find your origin. Your presence. Your voice. Your story. Your authority. The way you communicate when you're operating from your core rather than trying to remember a list of techniques.

The aim is to help you walk into the situations that matter and own your place in them without losing yourself in order to do it.

Origin Presence™

There are several threads running through the work. They are not separate boxes that we mechanically work through one after another. They overlap. We move between them. Everything is tailored to you, your situation and what is actually happening.

But at the heart of the work are three things.

The Shift

We start with what's getting in your way. Not every problem you've ever had. Not six months analysing your entire life. One important sticking point.

The thing that makes you shrink. The fear that appears before the presentation. The voice saying you're not good enough. The feeling that everybody else belongs in that room more than you do. The pattern of becoming nice and useful when what you actually need is to be authoritative. The moment your expertise disappears behind anxiety.

Something shifts. And when it does, clients often describe something unexpected: they almost forget what they were stuck on. Not because the work was superficial - because it went deep enough to change the thing underneath.

Identity & Story

This is where we go to the core. Who are you? Not your job title. Not your CV. Not the polished professional version you've learned to present to the world. Who are you, really?

What shaped you? What do you believe? What matters enough that you are willing to stand up and say it? What stories are already sitting inside your life that explain why you belong in the room you're walking into?

I help you find those stories. Your real stories. Your real identity. Your authentic voice.

Because presence doesn't have to mean becoming louder, harder, more aggressive or more polished. And leadership doesn't have to mean adopting somebody else's model of what authority looks like.

We find the version that belongs to you. The goal is that you begin to know, in your bones, who is walking into that room.

The Skills

And then the techniques land differently. Because now we're not sticking presentation skills over the top of the problem. We're building from your actual starting point. The skills can land in fertile ground.

There is a particular moment that happens in this work- it happens for different women in different places. You stop trying to remember what you're supposed to do. You stop managing yourself. You walk into the room and you're just there. Certain. Not performing certainty. Actually feeling it.

Women come to this work believing the problem is their voice, their presence, their nerves. They leave knowing something different: they were never the problem. They were just carrying something that didn't belong to them anymore.

The goal isn't confidence as a technique. It's the moment you know that you are the person born to do this and the room gets to feel that too.

This is where my decades of work in communication teaching, speaker coaching, training, theatre, storytelling and human behaviour come together.

What you need depends entirely on what you're trying to do. Perhaps you need to:

-get the promotion- win the contract-present your ideas- gain your client's trust- handle a difficult room- speak on television- land the TEDx- you tell me.

We work on the skills you need for the situation you are facing. Your voice. Your physical presence. Your language. Your story. Your structure. Your delivery. Your ability to hold the room.

And, where needed, the actual presentation, interview, pitch, script or performance itself.

This isn't about faking it until you make it. It's about finding what genuinely works for you.

Why I work this way

I didn't arrive at this work because public speaking always came naturally to me. Quite the opposite.

I was the child who lived in books. Deeply introverted. Very comfortable one-to-one with people I trusted and deeply uncomfortable talking to people I didn't know. Public situations created real anxiety.

And underneath that was something even more fundamental: I didn't really believe I had anything meaningful to say.

Theatre training taught me how to perform. And that helped enormously. But learning to perform didn't remove what was happening underneath.

Years of studying psychology gave me another piece. My own personal development and self-awareness gave me another. More than twenty years of teaching, training and working with people gave me another. Then came communication teaching, storytelling, speaker coaching, facilitation, emotional intelligence and change-oriented coaching.

Over time, those apparently different parts began to come together.

I became fascinated not simply by how people communicate, but by why an intelligent, capable person can know exactly what to do and still find themselves unable to do it when the stakes are high.

And that's the space I now work in. The intersection between who you are, what gets in your way, what you have to say and how you communicate it.

This is personal work

I don't believe that the answer to everyone's confidence problem is to teach you to behave more like the most confident person in the room. And I don't believe you need to become somebody else in order to become powerful.

You may need skills. You may need practice. You may need challenge. You may need to discover that some of the things you've believed about yourself simply don't serve you anymore.

But underneath all of that, I want to find you. The woman who already has the intelligence. The experience. The knowledge. The story. The capability.

Then we work together so that when the moment comes, the rest of the room gets to meet her too.

Find your presence. Take command from your core. Say what you came here to say.

Origin Presence™ : The Shift

One powerful 90-minute 1:1 session.

You bring one specific communication-related problem or sticking point. Something you are ready to change. Perhaps you're terrified about an upcoming presentation. Perhaps you continually shrink around senior people. Perhaps you're about to interview for a role you desperately want and that familiar voice has started telling you that you aren't good enough. Perhaps you simply know: I cannot keep doing this. We focus on that.

This isn't a promise that one session will magically remove every difficulty you've ever experienced. It is an intensive piece of work focused on helping you understand and shift the specific thing getting in your way. You can take The Shift as a completely standalone session. Or it can become the beginning of deeper work

Origin Presence™: The Core Journey

Four weeks. Four 1:1 sessions. One completely individual journey.

This is the fuller Origin Presence experience. We work across the complete arc: Shift. Identity. Story. Skills. Application. But this is not a four-week course where everybody receives the same material in the same order. There is no generic version of you. So there shouldn't be a generic programme designed to "fix" you. We work with what is actually happening.

If you have a TEDx coming, we work towards the TEDx. If you're going for promotion, we work towards the promotion. If you pitch every quarter and know your communication is costing you opportunities, that's where we work. If you're stepping into leadership and your external presence hasn't yet caught up with your new role, that's where we start.

Throughout the four weeks, we work with the person and the performance. The internal and the external. The block and the skill. The identity and the room in which that identity needs to show up.

Because none of it is separate.
